Education Ministry holds meeting on exams, estimating grades mechanism

Doha: The scientific materials assessment section of the Student Assessment Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education held a meeting with science and mathematics subjects coordinators and teachers in private schools that apply national standards for the three stages.

The meeting was organised in preparation for the end-of-semester exams for the academic year 2021-22 as part of the ministry’s strategy to achieve the vision of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The meeting clarified the criteria for good tests, question-building, mechanisms and procedures for estimating and reviewing grades with the aim of improving the performance of all parties, which is positively reflected on education outputs and review grades. By organising such meetings, the Student Assessment Department seeks to improve practices in the subjects and areas discussed, respond to inquiries about them, and exchange experiences in this regard, in cooperation with the participating and concerned parties.
