Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has published the list of 46 private health facilities participating in the 2020-2021 flu campaign.
MoPH along with Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) recently launched the national influenza vaccination campaign.
In a statement on Twitter, MoPH affirmed that the seasonal influenza vaccine is currently available in Qatar and is the same vaccine that the country imports every year from prestigious companies such as Abbott and Sanofi. The flu vaccine is safe for everyone above six months and is currently available for free.
“It is important to highlight that the flu virus that will be spreading this winter is different from the flu virus that circulated last winter," said Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal, Chair of the National Strategic Group on COVID-19 and Head of the Infectious Diseases Division at Hamad Medical Corporation.
