Katara, Uzbekistan Embassy to hold cultural events from Saturday

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Qatar, will organise cultural events on the 31st anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Qatar.

The events include the Crafts and Arts Exhibition of Uzbekistan on September 24 at 6:30 pm in Building 47 Hall 1 and 2, and the exhibition will continue until October 5. The exhibition will include applied artistic products in areas such as wood carving, miniatures, gold embroidery, jewelry, national costumes, and ceramics.

A concert of the State Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan will also be held on September 24 and 25, at 7.30 pm, at Katara Opera House. Concert programmes include national and Uzbek classics and excerpts from opera, as well as contemporary music.

These events aim to introduce the modern musical art of Uzbekistan, which has preserved the national traditions, while at the same time developing popular styles and trends in the world. Uzbek traditional music is considered to have ancient origins, and in the process of its development, it has gone through various historical stages, and as a result, a special style and patterns of creativity, necessary moral values ​​​​based on national heritage, and traditions have been developed and improved.

The original artistic culture of Uzbekistan has been formed over the centuries and is distinguished by its exceptional, original, and lively character among other cultures of the East. Due to its location, the culture of Uzbekistan has developed from the amalgamation of the most diverse traditions of many peoples, which are reflected in folk music, painting, applied arts, and national clothing.
