Doha: Ahmad Musa Al Namla, CEO of Qatar Museums and Ferit F. Sahenk, Chairman and CEO of Doğuş Holding AŞ have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will see the conglomerate donate 50 photographs by the late Turkish photojournalist, Ara Güler, and a Porsche tractor to Qatar Museums.
The donated photographs represent Güler’s body of work. Nicknamed “the Eye of Istanbul,” Güler was best known for his captivating black and white photography of Türkiye; its docks, streets, and people.
The Porsche tractor will be added to Qatar Museums’ car collection, which will be incorporated into its newest project, the Qatar Auto Museum.
