The opening address of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at the Qatar Economic Forum powered by Bloomberg has been lauded by senior officials across the health sector of the country.
They said that the speech of H H the Amir is a clear message to the world about Qatar’s commitment towards a steady economy and fight against the pandemic.
“The Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani delivered a speech at the opening session of the Qatar Economic Forum Powered has delivered a great message to the world by calling upon major industrialised countries for more vaccine cooperation,” Dr. Hamad Al Romaihi, Manager of Health Protection and Communicable Diseases, Ministry of Public Health told The Peninsula.
“As mentioned by H H the Amir, Qatar has provided necessary assistance to more than eighty countries and international organisations, pledging support to the World Health Organization, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), besides many other international organizations and international programs.
“This demonstrates Qatar’s commitment in the fight against COVID-19 not only within the country but across the world,” said Dr. Al Romaihi.
Ali Abdulla Al Khater, Chief Communications Officer, Corporate Communications at Hamad Medical Corporation said that the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in his speech at the opening session of the Qatar Economic Forum spoke about many important things whether related to economy, the pandemic among others.
“The speech highlighted about how to confront the COVID-19 pandemic, which has challenged everyone including the economic field. The policy of H H the Amir in economy and health sector gives optimism for Qatar and the world to face the uncertainty,” he said.
“It shows that despite the difficult circumstances, the world is witnessing due to the coronavirus pandemic, Qatar is interested in its citizens and takes steps in their favor,” he added.
Nasser Al Naimi, Deputy Chief of Quality and Director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute has said that the speech of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has demonstrated Qatar’s responsibilities to the people and its commitment to the world.
“It also shows that Qatar has successfully explored an economic development path, fought against the COVID-19 pandemic, while supporting other countries, international organizations and other institutes,” he said.
