Mohamed Adwan (pictured) is one among thousands of Palestinians who  have adopted Qatar as their second home. His maternal family moved to Doha in 1958 and they are living here since then. Adwan, who was born in Yemen, is living in Qatar since 2011.

“My mother’s family is here for the past several decades. She was born here. I have been visiting Doha often, before started living here,” said Adwan.

He is a professional in the logistics and procurement field with a passion for bikes. But he is among the bikers who want to make a difference.  He is part of a team of bikers under the umbrella of Batabit - ‘Qatar Motorcycle Center’.

“Bike riding gives me the feel of freedom and relaxation.  But our group don’t ride just for fun, we also take part in various activities which are designed for a cause. We take part in events like cancer awareness activities and several others. Taking part in such events gives me more satisfaction,” said Adwan.

“We all should give back to the society. Riding bikes for a cause and creating awareness about a disease or issues is giving back to the society which we live,” he added.

Being visited Doha often and living here for the past eight years, Adwan dubbed Qatar as the most safest country.

“Qatar is most peaceful and safe country,” he said.

Speaking about the tremendous growth Doha has seen, in the past few years, Adwan said, “Everything here is growing fast by keeping best standards. The development and projects for World Cup 2022 are phenomenal.”

“It’s amazing to see iconic buildings like the Qatar National Library and Qatar National Museum,” he added.

Adwan is also fascinated by the cosmopolitan aspect of Qatar.

“This is country where you can experience and meet the world in one place. The blend of different nationalities makes Qatar unique,” he added.
