Doha: A warning message on the computer screens of an Indian tech start-up is attracting attention all over the Internet. The message, which appears like a pop-up, serves as a needed reminder to employees that their day shift is coming to an end, signalling the  time to pack up and leave.

The post shared on LinkedIn by the HR Tanvi Khandelwal went viral on social media and has created waves as it brought forth discussions on work-life balance.

The pop up message at IT firm Softgrid Computing goes like this:

Warning!!!
Your shift time is over. The office system will shut down in 10 minutes. PLEASE GO HOME!!

The HR specialist at Softgrid wrote along with a picture of the warning, "This is the reality of our office... The special reminder, locks my desktop after business hours and issues a warning..."

The original post has over 400K reactions, with 7k comments and more than 10k reposts on LinkedIn. While many appreciated the initiative, some wondered what would happen when there is a pressing issue from a client.

Another IT professional on LinkedIn lamented the loss of being unable to plan your schedule around work rather than around time.

Meanwhile at a time when there are some juggling work from home, and some others struggling to manage work-life balance, initiatives like these from their employers might just be what helps them.
