The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE President of the Republic of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte. During the phone call, HH the Amir offered condolences to the President on victims of the typhoon that hit the country, wishing the injured a swift recovery.
HH the Amir expressed during the call his confidence in the Philippines' ability to overcome this crisis, stressing the State of Qatar's support and readiness to help in that regard.
For his part, the President of the Philippines expressed his thanks to HH the Amir for the State of Qatar's solidarity and support for the Philippines' government and people.
The call also dealt with bilateral relations and the means to enhance them.
