QMD warns of strong wind, high seas during weekend

Doha: On its weather forecast for the weekend, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) warned of strong wind with high seas offshore. 

Hot daytimes with slight dust and mild weather conditions at night are also likely during weekend. 

The minimum and maximum temperatures expected in the coming days are 26 degree Celsius and 37 degree Celsius.

On Friday, the wind will blow mainly northwesterly at 8-18 KT gusting to 25 KT inshore and 15-25 KT gusting to 35 KT at first offshore. While on Saturday, the wind will mainly be northwesterly to northeasterly at 5-15 KT inshore and 10-20 KT offshore decreasing to 4-14 KT. 

Sea heights, on Friday, will vary from 2-4/5 ft inshore and 4-8 ft /13 ft at first offshore. On Saturday, sea heights will range at 1-3 ft inshore and from 2-4 ft/6 ft at first offshore. 

During the weekend, the visibility will be 4-8 kilometres.
