DOHA: Qatar’s sports vision and strategy is making all the difference in helping young kids take to adopting a healthy way of life, the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) yesterday said.

“The Emir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Heir Apparent, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, lay great emphasis on promoting sports the right way. It is because of their vision that Qatar has become the sports hub of the region,” Manzoor Ahmed, Secretary General, QCA, said.

The QCA thanked the Emir and the Heir Apparent for changing the way sports is liked by people of all ages.

“Doha has world-class sports facilities. The city hosts some of the world’s famous events regularly. Clearly, the Qatari capital is the place to be for all sports fans,” he added.

“Even the success at the London Olympic Games is the result of the sports vision of the Emir.

“The Emir has clearly underlined the importance of sport in our lives. The vision of the Emir has helped Qatar excel in sport around the world.”

“We give a profound thanks to support given to us by H H the Emir and H H the Heir Apparent in developing cricket. This new facility is the result of the support we get from the Emir and the Heir Apparent,” Ahmed added. THE PENINSULA
