Geneva: HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari met with Executive Director of the Health Emergencies Program at the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Michael Ryan at the organization's headquarters in Geneva.
The meeting dealt with discussing areas of cooperation between the State of Qatar and the World Health Organization in a number of health fields, especially the Health Emergencies Program, and the health partnership for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: "Creating Legacy for Sport and Health", which aims to ensure organizing a healthy and safe World Cup in the State of Qatar, and represents an exceptional model for hosting major sporting events that are healthy and safe in the future.
They also reviewed health control forms during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the policy of protection against communicable diseases, especially (COVID-19) and monkeypox.
HE Permanent Representative of State of Qatar to the European headquarters of the United Nations Dr. Hind Bint Abdul Rahman Al Muftah the attended the meeting.
