From Summer Entertainment City to Qatar Fan Zone for Russia World Cup, Qatar has it all for the weekend and the coming days. We have shortlisted the best ones for you.

Summer Entertainment City

Summer Entertainment city is the largest indoor festival in Qatar. With over 75 rides and games, such as the largest bouncy castle, virtual reality area with more than 15 games or the Football Fan zone. The food court has over 40 outlets and more than 140 stores to explore.

The entry fee is QR15 and the price for the tickets are QR150 (The Gold Pass) and QR699 (The Season Pass), can be purchased online and at the venue.

Entertainment World Village

Entertainment World Village, an outdoor funfair, is open to the public for a few more days.

A number of exciting games and rides, as well as family rides, in various zones of the village are a part of the theme park.

Visitors can choose from a wide selection of delectable cuisines available at colourful kiosks spread around the venue, which also house shops which sell various products by local businesses, among others.

The ticket for entry is QR15 can be purchased at the door and the prices for the games rides range between QR20 to QR75.

Portugal Week

The Embassy of Portugal in Doha, in partnership with Mall of Qatar and Al Tawfeeq Travel, brings for the first time in Doha, the Portugal Week inclusive of a series of activities including unique live performances.

The Portugal Week will delight the visitors with one of the most famous Portuguese bands: 7 Saias.

Packed with activities and surprises for everyone to enjoy, the cultural booth located East Gate 3 will give visitors an array of information about the country’s best destinations, tours and visas procedures.

Also, football fans will be able to get in the spirit by watching the Portugal matches with Morocco and Iran from Mall of Qatar’s very own fan zone, sponsored by QNB and QIC, live on the giant LED screens at the Ooredoo Oasis Stage.

Classic Cars Expo

Doha Festival City is hosting a Classic Cars Expo. The unique antique car collection will be showcased by the Gulf Qatari Classic Cars Association, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum and Letableh Museum for Omar Hussein Al Fardan.

Qatar Fan Zone for Russia World Cup

As the World Cup fever grips fans world over, Qatar, the next venue for the biggest sporting event, is providing a unique public experience for the residents this year.

Fan zones have been set up at different places across the city to screen live matches along with various football-related activities. These fan zones are at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena, Katara, Hamad International Airport and Khalifa International Stadium. Apart from having large screens, there will be other live entertainment activities, delicious food and other football-related events happening too.  

Qatar has pulled out all stops to ensure that the residents do not miss out on any of the action happening at the Russia World Cup.

 

Gardens of Al-Andalus exhibition

Qatar National Library opened a three-month long “The Gardens of Al Andalus Exhibition”.

The exhibition is created by the Islamic Culture Foundation of Madrid (FUNCI) and it highlights the importance of gardens in Islam and displays the plants, tools, and gardening methods used by Muslims in Andalusia.

The exhibition is part of FUNCI’s ‘Med-O-Med, Cultural Landscapes of the Mediterranean and the Middle East’ network.

The exhibition will display multiple scale models depicting the most significant gardens of Al Andalus, as well as numerous olfactory devices, which allow one to sample some of the botanical species, used at the time.
