Doha: In an effort to speed up its online grocery delivery amidst the current pandemic crisis, retail giant Lulu has introduced faster and more convenient ways for shoppers to get their grocery products and lifestyle essentials delivered through two services — Express Delivery for a same-day delivery and Click and Collect for a store pick-up service through its online shopping platform.
As part of the initiative, Lulu has partnered with well-known taxi groups to deliver the orders right at the doorstep of the shoppers. All orders placed between 10am to 5pm will be delivered on the same day, while orders placed after the given cut-off time will be delivered the next day.
Express Delivery is available in Al Hilal, Al Salath Al Jadidah, Fareej Al Ali, Al Thumama, Old Airport, Wakra, Abu Hamour, Nuija, Al Sadd, Fareej Bin Mahmoud, Al Hitmi, Barwa Village, Al Gharafa, Al Duhail, Qatar Foundation, Al Doha Al Jadeeda, Fereej Abdul Azeez, Al Mansoura, Mesaimeer, and Al Khor.
A Lulu Hypermarkets Qatar spokesperson said: “In light of current pandemic, we are introducing alternative options to make sure that shoppers can easily get their grocery needs wherever they are as fast as possible, based on their own convenience and preferred delivery mode.
“Click and Collect allows customers to shop online and simply drive through their nearest Lulu store to pick up their orders. This service is available at several branches including D-Ring Road, Al Hilal, Barwa, Gharafa, Al Khor, Ezdan Oasis, B-Ring Road, Qatar Foundation, and Al Saad.
“We are ready to cater to the high demand of grocery shopping at these critical times and have ensured well-stocked stores and warehouses, while implementing all measures for the safety of both our customers and employees. We encourage the residents to plan their shopping accordingly and maintain social distancing,” he added.
