Guatemala City: President of the Republic of Guatemala H E Alejandro Giammattei awarded non-resident Acting Charge d’Affaires of the State of Qatar to Guatemala Tariq Othman Al Othman a medal in appreciation of the efforts he made in developing relations between the two countries.
The Acting Charge d’Affaires of Qatar received the medal in a ceremony held at the presidential palace.
The ceremony was attended by Foreign Minister of Guatemala H E Mario Bucaro.
Othman is the third representative of a state mission to be granted this medal. It was previously awarded to two heads of missions accredited to Guatemala in 2018 and 2020.
