Doha: In its efforts to combat the increasing cases of coronavirus, the Ministry of Municipal and Environment has decided to end the camping season for this year starting tomorrow March 22.

Along with this, the Ministry also decided to close all parks and public beaches in order to curb the spread of coronavirus (Covid19) until further notice.

In a statement published on its social media the ministry said that this step is taken in order to preserve the safety of citizens and residents, adding that the procedures for removing the camps should be completed before the end of Wednesday, March 25.

The Ministry noted that these requirements come within the framework of the precautionary and preventive measures announced by them to limit the spread of the virus and to avoid gatherings and prevent socialising with people.

The Ministry asked everyone to strictly adhere to this decision, close their camps and not gather.

Stressing that it will intensify its inspection campaigns to ensure the extent of commitment to the implementation of this decision and will refer all who violate the laws and ministerial decisions to the competent authorities to take appropriate measures against it in order to preserve the safety of all.
