DOHA: The Attorneys Admission Committee, chaired by Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs H E Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, held a meeting yesterday to discuss the items on its agenda.
These included the attorney oath to five new attorneys, reviewing applications from professionals with equivalent qualifications for registration as practicing lawyers, and considering transfer of lawyer to the register of those qualified to appear before the Court of Cassation.
The committee also examined various regulatory matters and professional guidelines for legal profession, including reports from subcommittees, and made the necessary decisions accordingly.
During the meeting, Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs reaffirmed the committees commitment to fostering an environment that enables lawyers to carry out their vital role in serving society and strengthening Qatar’s legal and judicial system.
He stressed the importance of continuous professional development through training programs to enhance their legal skills and ensure they practice the profession with the highest level of competence.
