Deputy Speaker of Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti meeting a delegation from the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-Africa) yesterday.
Doha: Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti met yesterday with a delegation from the African Regional Organization of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-Africa), which is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, a number of topics related to the organisation’s efforts to protect and promote workers’ rights and ways to support those efforts were reviewed.
Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council highlighted the important role played by the State of Qatar in this field, and the Shura Council’s support for these efforts, based on the fact that it is an embodiment of popular participation in decision-making.
