Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Ebrahim Raisi held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Monday morning.
At the beginning of the meeting, H H the Amir welcomed the Iranian president and the accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay, and the solid relations between the two countries further development and growth in various fields. He also expressed his keenness to strengthen bilateral cooperation, develop it to broader horizons, and transfer it to regional and international levels.
The session was attended by HE Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, Minister of Municipality; HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Energy Affairs; HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry; and HE Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Culture.
On the Iranian side, it was attended by HE Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs; HE Gholamhossein Esmaili, Head of the Presidential Office; HE Ali Akbar Mehrabian, Minister of Energy; HE Rostam Ghasemi, Minister of Roads and Urban Development; HE Javad Oji, Minister of Oil; and HE Sayyid Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade.
His Highness the Amir and the Iranian President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed the most prominent developments of common interest at the regional and international levels, in addition to the current developments in the region.
The Iranian President had arrived at the Amiri Diwan earlier, where an official reception ceremony was held for him.
