Doha: Doha Metro, which had converted all carriages to Standard Class during the FIFA World Cup, has announced that it will reinstate its carriage classification into Gold, Family and Standard soon.
In a tweet it stated that starting December 23, 2022, Doha Metro carriage classifications (Gold, Family & Standard) will be reinstated. "Kindly remember to travel in the carriage that matches your Travel Card!" it added.
The Gold and Family class were suspended starting from November 11, 2022 to increase the train capacity during the tournament.
Meanwhile it also announced a change to its regular service hours starting today. The metro will operate from 5:30am to 11:59 pm from Sunday to Wednesday while on Thursday it will operate from 5:30 am to 1am. On Friday the service will begin at 2pm until 1am and on Saturday it will be operational from 6am to 11:59pm.
