Doha - A delegation comprising officials from airport security in GCC countries visited Hamad International Airport (HIA) today, as part of the exchange of experiences in the field of airport security.
The visit program included an introductory meeting and a presentation on the modern procedures and the technical and smart systems used at Hamad International Airport by the security and passports departments, in addition to induction tours to discover the methods and curricula for training airport security personnel on how to use modern equipment, which will reflect on the security and safety of the civil aviation system.
The delegations were also briefed on the used security system, such as inspection devices, electronic gates, and the smart traveler system, which allows the traveler to complete all his travel procedures electronically without any human intervention.
The GCC delegation was also acquainted with the modern technical and electronic capabilities and the advanced systems used to facilitate the movement of passengers according to the highest security standards.
