Doha: Following a complaint by a parent about a private school teacher for giving pills to some students, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education stated that it has started an investigation into the same.
Ministry stated that on its social media that "the Ministry notes that it started the investigation as soon as it received a mother’s complaint about a teacher in a private school giving some students pills to take."
This is in reaction to a complaint on social media where a parent stated that a teacher from a private secondary school distributed sedative pills to female student in the classroom to relieve exam anxiety.
On Twitter, @NawaryH tweeted in Arabic on Friday, November 19, tagging the ministry and two other popular Arabic media professionals saying "in a private secondary school, a teacher distributed sedative pills to female students in the classroom to relieve exam anxiety!!"
