Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority
Doha: President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) H E Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad affirmed that the celebration of the National Day of the State represents an incentive for the Qatari people to take inspiration and draw lessons regarding the importance of persistence in work, as well as renewing the covenant and consolidating the meaning of pride, belonging and loyalty to the homeland under the wise leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, whose priority is to build the Qatari citizen in a way that enable him to assume his national responsibilities and follow the path of the first generation of loyal leaders to continue the path of development and progress.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar National Day (QND), he stated that the occasion calls us to work towards everything that leads to the advancement and development of our country, the realization of the comprehensive Qatar National Vision 2030, and the strengthening of integrity and transparency in the country, which will lead to strengthening the systems that preserve public money, enhancing the quality of public services and improving the work and investment environment in the State of Qatar.
He explained that the State is proud of its achievements in the areas of enhancing integrity, transparency and preventing corruption, thanks to the vision of our wise leadership regarding upholding the values of integrity and transparency and making it a priority in Qatar’s national and international policies. He also expressed his appreciation for the values of our society, which contributed in Qatar occupying a high position among the best countries in the world in terms of transparency and integrity standards.
The President of ACTA said that they direct their message on this occasion to everyone living on this land to feel, support and preserve the achievements and gains and strive to achieve what is greater. He added that loyalty to the Founder’s history and the sacrifices of forefathers will only be through hard work and sincere effort for the sake of the homeland, affirming the importance of every citizens performing his or her duties and obligations and for the interest of the country to be the goal, in order to give the National Day its true meaning.
On the most important achievements of ACTA in 2021, Hamad bin Nasser Al Misnad said that the Authority prepared the National Strategy for Promoting Integrity and Transparency (2022-2026), in coordination with the authorities related to the integrity and transparency system and the prevention and control of corruption in the country, explaining that preparing the strategy relied on a set of national, regional and international references, including the Permanent Constitution of Qatar and Qatar National Vision 2030.
