Saud Al Henzab raises the Qatari flag on the summit of Kilimanjaro

Doha: "Saud Bin Ali Al-Marri Henzab, a Qatari citizen, " has managed to tame the fourth highest peak in the world. He climbed the summit of Kilimanjaro, at an altitude of 5,895 meters, with a group of Saudi Arabian and Egyptian climbers according to a report inas Al Sharq Newspaper reported.

He got the Iidea of conquering Kilimanjaro to him after he saw an announcement by a group of climbers on the Internet and he registered himself for the samename.

Al Henzab said that the words of Qatar Emir H H Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani to the youth and his continual encouragement to do the best for Qatar was a great motivation for him to achieve this feat.

The Summit of Kilimanjaro wasis considered as one of the Global Seven Summits and the fourth highest peak. It’s the highest peak in Africa and one of the peaks most professionals and climbing enthusiasts seeks to conquerreach the summit.

The whole trip took him about eight days of which reaching the top took six days.

Al Henzab said that he presents his achievement as a gift to the Emir and to those who love him. He stressed on confirmed also the importance of sports and said that he encourages people of all ages to take up sports and try mountaineering.
