Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 240 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 244 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 126,650.
Out of the 240 new cases, 215 are community cases and 25 from travelers returning from abroad.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
So far, 224 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 129671 and there are 2,797 active cases under treatment.
Ministry conducted 8,844 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 886,186 tests.
There are 18 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital 384.
No patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 49.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
- Adherence to physical distancing.
- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
- Wearing a face mask.
- Washing hands regularly
