Doha: With the undeniable rise in temperatures, staying hydrated is one of the top ways to combat the heat and benefit the body, in the long run.
On Twitter, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) shared some benefits of drinking water most especially during the summer. MOPH also stated the ideal amount of water consumed daily should be at least 8 to 12 cups.
Benefits of drinking water include the following:

- Drinking water helps maintain healthy joints and bones
- Helps in getting rid of body toxins
- Helps in regulating body temperature
- Drinking water increases your energy
- Drinking water can help reduce headaches
- Promotes weight loss and helps maintain healthy body weight

- Keeps hair and nails healthy
