Kings Badminton Club to host top-ranked players

The First Kings GCC Open and International Badminton Invitation Tournament 2013 will be hosted in Micheal E Debakey High School for Health Professions, in Doha from May 23 to June 1. 

Doha:  The First Kings GCC Open and International Badminton Invitation Tournament 2013 will be hosted at Micheal E Debakey High School for Health Professions, in Doha from May 23 to June 1, officials of Kings Badminton Club, organisers of the event,  informed here yesterday. 

The GCC Open will be contested in 23 categories in different age groups. 

The GCC finals will be on May 30 while the International Badminton Invitation Tournament 2013 final is on June 1. Prizes, worth QR100,000 will be given away during the two events.

Top-ranked players from Malaysia, India, Indonesia and Philippines, invited for the tournament are Achmad Rivai, Hendra Setyo Nugroho, both of Indonesia, Rupesh Kumar KT, Sanave Thomas, both of India, Kong Keat Zhen, Bin Shen Tan, Loo Yik Xiang, all of Malaysia, Robert Blair of Scotland, Antonino Gadi and Wilfred Natividad of the Philippines.
