Doha, Qatar: An unforgettable racing action is expected this weekend as E1, the world’s all-electric race boat series, comes to Doha supported by title partner Visit Qatar.
Nine teams backed by celebrities including Will Smith, Rafael Nadel and LeBron James, take to the waters around The Pearl Island as round two of the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship makes its first foray to Qatar from February 21 to 22.
Each team, piloted by exceptional male and female competitors drawn from the worlds of Formula 1, rallying and powerboating, will race their all-electric powerboats in their quest to pick up vital Championship points and aim for the ultimate glory of being crowned ‘Champions of the Water’.
With the support of Visit Qatar, E1 is the latest and newest global competition to be welcomed to Qatar’s growing elite sporting calendar.
As well as providing thrilling, up-close racing action for fans, E1 is a racing laboratory that uses competition on the water as the ultimate testbed for developing cutting-edge, innovative fully electric marine mobility.
