Ambassador praises strong Qatar-Peru ties

Ambassador of Peru to the State H E Jose Benzaquen Perea (pictured) praised the development of his country’s relations with Qatar in all fields since 1989, noting that both countries depend on the rule of law, diplomacy of cooperation and political dialogue, promotion of trade and investments, and promotion of tourism and culture.
In exclusive statements to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar National Day, the Ambassador said that his country signed the visa waiver agreement for short stay, allowing Qatari citizens to travel and explore Peru without any constraints and at the same time have the opportunity to enjoy a unique experience of what Peru has to offer, emphasising that they will continue to work hand in hand in the development of a stronger bilateral relationship with Qatar as they recognise Qatar as a relevant actor and a mediator within the international arena.
On the occasion of Qatar National Day, the Peru’s Ambassador expressed his great admiration for Qatar, wishing it continued prosperity and peace under the leadership of Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Ambassador Jose Benzaquen Perea praised the successful steps taken by the State of Qatar to confront the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that the preventive and precautionary measures allowed all citizens and residents of Qatar to overcome it quickly and efficiently, and thus the Qatari economy returned to being strong and stable as it was before the crisis and more.
