Prime Minister attends Ministry of Education’s operetta

Doha: Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani attended yesterday an operetta organised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at Katara Cultural Village to mark National Day celebrations.

The ceremony was attended by a number of their excellencies ministers, ranking officials, education officials, school principals, and parents.

The operetta focused on the history of education, and the period that first saw the introduction of education in Qatar and the developments that took place since then.

The ceremony had many musical and poetry numbers, in addition to the many number of educational-themes. 

The operetta stressed that the State of Qatar have put a lot of effort over the past 50 years, which eventually saw education an icon for the country’s development and the renaissance it is undergoing.

Another theme of the operetta was that Qatar was growing thanks to the efforts of its students, who give their all to ensure the country does the best possible in education and in all fields. The operetta also stressed on the importance of loving one’s country and supporting its wise leadership.

More than 200 students from nine schools participated in the operetta.
