DOHA: KPMG is hosting a major client reception later this week to celebrate the firm’s 35th year of operations in Qatar.
Scheduled to be held at the Ritz Carlton on Wednesday (November 21), more than 500 senior business leaders, government officials and private sector leaders are scheduled to attend as well as local and international KPMG partners and managers.
KPMG in Qatar’s, managing partner, Jamal Fakhro, said it will be a significant occasion for the global audit, tax and advisory firm. “This is the first time we have hosted such an event in Qatar,” said Fakhro, “The reception is an excellent way to thank the Government of Qatar and our clients for all the support granted to us during these years.”
“KPMG has established strong relationships within the business community which has helped us develop a deep understanding of Qatar’s values and culture. We are honored to work with many government departments and agencies in an extremely productive partnership.”
Attendees include chairman, directors, CEO’s, and general managers from the majority of Qatar’s leading companies. KPMG’s international guests include KPMG Global Chairman, Michael Andrew.
KPMG expects to double the size of its practice in the next few years and to leverage the full strength of its global firm to support its local team and clients.
