Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 204 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 188 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 126,406.
Out of the 204 new cases, 181 are community cases and 23 from travelers returning from abroad.
It also announced the death of a 51-year-old who was receiving the necessary medical care.
All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.
The Ministry also conducted 7,485 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 877,342 tests.
The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 129431 and there are 2,801 active cases under treatment. So far, 224 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.
There 33 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital 385.
Four patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 51.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
- Adherence to physical distancing.
- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
- Wearing a face mask.
- Washing hands regularly
