293 Covid-19 cases and 267 recoveries in Qatar on Aug 18

Ministry of Public Health today recorded 293 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 267 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 112,355. 

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 115,661 and there are 3113 active cases under treatment. So far, 193 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

Ministry conducted 5020 tests in the last 24 hours taking the total tests done so far to 560990 tests. There are 53 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours.

Three patients were admitted to intensive care due to health complications resulting from infection with the virus, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical care in intensive care currently to 68.
While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
Adherence to physical distancing.

Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.

Wearing a face mask.

Washing hands regularly.
