Doha: The Katara Library of Arabic Novels concluded its Ramadan Nights in Culture and Literature through bringing together Arab communities, of which are Palestine, Morocco and Palestinian.
The two evenings were moderated by Khaled Diab Al Mohannadi, Katara Library of Arabic Novels director, assisted in the management of the Palestinian evening by Dr. Khaled Al Hroub, a Palestinian academic, and in the Moroccan evening by Muhammad Abeel and Hafsa Reggreq.
The Palestinian evening, which was honoured by the attendance of Palestine Ambassador to Qatar, H E Munir Abdullah Ghannam, moved the audience to the atmosphere of Ramadan in the land of Jerusalem throughout history, in the first paragraph presented by Basma Qassem (Um Al Abed), accompanied by young women who were creative in singing the joyful songs of welcoming the holy month, which are from the Palestinian heritage, and Rami Abu Shehab, Professor of Criticism at Qatar University, presented a poetic reading in a long poem entitled “As for me, I am not made of clay.” Also several other activities were held.
The evening of the Moroccan community was held on Friday, April 15, and was marked by a heavy attendance, and various segments that suit the Ramadan atmosphere.
