An exciting weekend is upon us. Explore the seafaring heritage of Qatar at the Dhow Festival or head to Katara to view the best works from Qatari and Chinese photographers. There's lot more happening this weekend! 

Sixth Katara Traditional Dhow Festival 

Qatar heritage has its roots in seafaring and you can get a glimpse to this not-yet-lost authentic tradition at the sixth edition of Katara Traditional Dhow Festival launched on November 15. At the festival moored at Katara Beach are over 100 Arabian boats of varying types and sizes and is a must-watch. 
When: On until November 19, Friday and Saturday - 3:30pm to 10pm

Cultures, from different angles 

Qatar Museums presents 'Cultures, From Different Angles' a photography exhibition showcasing the best works from Qatari and Chinese photographers in Katara. The exhibition on till November 30 presents the work of Qatari photographers Ahmed Al Khulaifi and Saeed Al Marri along with the Chinese photographers Bao Lixia, Huang Zuxiang, Liu Zhining and Xu Xinrong who travelled to each other’s countries on a two-week expedition to understand and visually communicate a way of life different from their own.

DFI Outdoor screening - Going to Heaven 

Watching a movie under the stars is a unique experience. Doha Film Institute provides you an opportunity to enjoy a movie in the outdoors by screening Going to Heaven at MIA Park. 

Going to Heaven’ revolves around the events in 11-year-old Sultan’s life. Seeking to return to the arms and the tenderness of his long-lost grandmother, Sultan embarks with a friend on a crazy journey from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah via Dubai.  
When: November 19, 2016, 7pm

Samurai Festival

Anime Song Live show, movie screenings and Kimono Show are just some of the features of this festival. The four day festival starts on November 20 and will be held at Hilton Hotel in Doha. The festival is free and open to all.

Italian Embassy in Qatar brings you the rich, supreme Italian menu in the Italian Cuisine Week that starts on November 21. Five prime Italian restaurants in Qatar will dish out some of the best Italian dishes at very reasonable prices. Five restaurants participating in the event are Il Mercato Antico, La Veranda, Nonna Zanon, Antica Pesa and Itaia Mia.
