NEW YORK: Zach Randolph recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 17 points and a season-high 22 rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Detroit Pistons 95-88.
The Grizzlies (9-1) have won a franchise-record 19 straight regular-season home games and have won 10 straight games from the Pistons, a stretch that dates to October 2009.
Memphis’ centre Marc Gasol scored a game-high 23 points with eight rebounds. Point guard Mike Conley finished with 18 points.
Cavaliers 127, Hawks 94
The Cavaliers made their first 11 three-pointers and set an NBA record in the process in a lopsided victory over Atlanta.
LeBron James had 32 points, six rebounds and seven assists, Kevin Love had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists, and Kyrie Irving had 20 points and five assists for the Cavs (5-3), who set a franchise record by making 19 three-pointers.
The Hawks fell to 5-4.
Wizards 98, Magic 93
Nene and Kris Humphries each scored 16 points as the surging Washington Wizards won their third straight game with a 98-93 victory over the Orlando Magic yesterday.
Six players scored in double figures for the Wizards (7-2), including guard John Wall, who had 15 points and 10 assists.
The 7-2 start for Washington is their best since opening the 1974-75 campaign 7-1.
Tobias Harris scored 19 points, and Victor Oladipo had 18 for the Magic (4-7) in his first start of the season.
Raptors 111, Jazz 93
DeMar DeRozan scored 27 points and the Toronto Raptors used a fourth-quarter surge to pull away to victory over Utah.
Jonas Valanciunas added 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Raptors, who had a five-game winning streak snapped by the Chicago Bulls on Thursday.
The Jazz fell to 4-7.
Pacers 99, Bulls 90
The Indiana Pacers got 21 points apiece from A.J. Price, Solomon Hill and Luis Scola as they defeated a Chicago team minus the injured Derrick Rose.
Jimmy Butler scored a game-high 32 points for the Bulls (7-3) but it was not enough to save them from defeat. The Pacers (4-7) played without six injured players and had lost seven of nine entering the contest.
Kings 94, Spurs 91
DeMarcus Cousins finished with a game-high 25 points and knocked down two key free throws with 21.4 seconds left, as the Sacramento Kings beat San Antonio at home for the first time since 2007. Sacramento improved to 6-4 while the Spurs fell to 5-4.
Clippers 120, Suns 107
Chris Paul scored 32 points, and the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Phoenix Suns. Paul, who hit 10 of 13 shots from the floor, including five three-pointers, also had nine assists and five rebounds as the Clippers (5-3) beat the Suns (5-5) for the eighth time in the last 10 meetings.
Warriors 112, Hornets 87
Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Harrison Barnes did all the scoring in an 18-4 flurry late in the second quarter that put the Golden State Warriors in command en route to a victory over the Charlotte Hornets.
The Warriors shot 58 percent from the field in the runaway first half and improved to 7-2 while dropping Charlotte to 4-6.
Mavericks 131, Timberwolves 117
Monta Ellis scored 30 points to lead eight Dallas players scoring in double figures as the Mavericks blew away Minnesota.
The Mavs (7-3) coasted to their seventh win in 10 games, while the Wolves (2-7) took their seventh loss in nine games despite 34 points from Kevin Martin.
Trail Blazers 97, Nets 87
Playing without LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum, the Portland Trail Blazers cobbled together a starting lineup and managed to beat Brooklyn.
Damian Lillard scored 28 points for the Trail Blazers (7-3), who set the pace nearly the entire game, leading by as many as 16 points and leading for the final 38:42. AFP
