Ministry of Education’s Early Child Department implements its developmental plans

Doha: The Early Child Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education affirmed its keenness to achieve the objectives and pillars of its strategic plan. This is achieved through operational programmes and plans aimed at developing the performance of teachers, which is reflected in the development of students' skills and capabilities.

In remarks, Director of the Early Child Department Maryam Al Nisf Al Buainain said that these efforts come within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to build bridges of cooperation and constructive participatory work for the benefit of the students, believing that Qatar always deserves the best.

She noted that the department was able to accomplish many important goals through the inspection visits of its supervisors and directors at the beginning of the current academic year to determine the schools’ preparations and ensure their high readiness to receive students, the suitability of the classroom and school environment, security and safety factors, the availability of learning resources and is aware of the seriousness of applying the guideline for receiving students. 

It was provided to schools before to ensure its implementation in the planned manner.

Assistant Director of the Early Child Department Dhabia Al Khulaifi spoke about the department’s efforts to provide urgent educational solutions to overcome any obstacles that might face the teacher in the best way, in order to ensure the quality of learning outcomes, as well as providing training awareness support for field cadres. 

They include the “Educational Pioneering Beginnings” programme, which targeted more than 1,300 teachers, male and female coordinators within seven various training sessions to launch through it towards the horizons of creativity in giving.

Head of the Foundation Stage Department in the Early Child Department Sharifa Al Yazidi explained the efforts of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education through the Department in developing capabilities and skills. 

In this regard, she said, a programme for supervisors was implemented for the third year in a row. It includes training on the latest educational supervision systems and how to provide academic support and the role of the educational supervisor in providing supportive and positive feedback that represents an addition to the coordinator or teacher through constructive dialogue and effective communication and other extra-curricular activities.

Head of the Kindergarten Department Fatima Al Qahtani spoke about the distinguished efforts related to this category in terms of training teachers, supervisors and coordinators, and issuing a set of guidelines for kindergartens.
