On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar has various activities and events going on this weekend till month end. We have selected a few interesting ones for you.

Night Market opens today

A Night Market in the parking area of Duhail Sports Club will open its doors for visitors today.

The month-long market will offer variety of products including apparels, perfumes and food items.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy variety of meals as a separate dedicated area has been allocated for a food court.

Katara Beach Volleyball Championship

Katara-Cultural Village Foundation is organizing the fourth edition of the Katara Beach Volleyball

Championship, to be held at Katara’s beach-court during the holy month of Ramadan.

Ramadan at Mall Of Qatar

Mall of Qatar is hosting Ramadan activities for children where they can learn Arabic calligraphy, create prayer pads, lanterns and much more in the arts and crafts area along with a henna station dedicated to creating beautiful designs.

While everyone can enjoy hospitality in the modern yet traditional Majlis and participate in a daily broadcast from Qatar Radio at 9pm in the Luxury Court, the children can play with giant traditional Dama and X.O games

Ramadan at MIA

Each night for the first two weeks of Ramadan, MIA will be offering a wide selection of activities for the whole family – from lectures and poetry recitals for adults to the MIA Bazaar and walk-in craft activities for children and families.

English and Arabic lectures on Ramadan by a variety of speakers including MIA curators and Qatar University will be held from May 17 to May 27.  

Apart from that there is also activity session for kids where they can make Ramadan themed crafts such as mosque , moon and stars, or even listen to storytelling sessions with the library team or take a special Ramadan theme guided tour.

Kids Corner Activity

To be organised by Qatar Foundation, Kids Corner Activity is an art and craft event that promises to get those creative juices flowing in your little ones. Basic elements of Islamic art will also be explained to the children. Maximum of 40 children in the age group of 4 and 7 years will be able to be a part of this activity.
