A flawless routine by Jessico 4, ridden by star Qatari rider Saeed Nasser Al Qadi in the saddle, ensured the top prize of the day by winning the Open Class - Table A, One round against the clock, 115/125cm event as the fourth leg of the Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour began at Al Shaqab Indoor arena yesterday.

The popular rider, aged 24 years, guided his favourite gelding to complete the task in 60.89 seconds to secure a prize cheque worth QR3,750 last evening.

Diamond Delemma, with Mohammed Taleb Al Saaq in the saddle, spent 66.74 seconds to finish the round in second place and win QR3,000 in prize money. The third placed rider, Ahmed Mohammed Al Badi who guided Latino 291, won a prize cheque worth QR2,250 after clocking a time of 67.21 seconds to complete the event podium which saw a field of 35 riders vying for honours.

Earlier, promising rider Jaber Rashid Al Amri picked up the top prize of QR2,500 when he completed his routine astride his 11-year-old mare Belucci Van ‘T Vleminkhof in 57.37 seconds in the Small Tour - Art. 269.5, 100/115cm event.

Al Bareq, with seasoned campaigner Mohammed Nasser Al Qadi in the saddle, completed the run in 59.19 seconds to bag a prize of QR2,000 after finishing second while Jalieny Diamant Z, ridden by Abdulaziz Ghanim Al Nuaimi, completed the same task in 62.13 seconds to win QR1,500 in prize money as well as the third place.

Today is the final day of the fourth leg of the 12-competition series, the brainchild of Qatar Olympic Committee President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani.

Today, riders will compete in the Medium and Big tour classes, starting from 3.00pm at the same venue.
