Doha: The Public Works Authority — Ashghal — has announced that one lane in each direction will be closed on part of Al Shamal Road.
The closure will be carried out on a distance of about 800 metres near Al Kheesa Bridge at Al Kheesa Interchange No. 10 in Al Kharaitiyat Area.
During the closure from Monday for one month, traffic will be diverted to the three remaining lanes on south- and north-bound directions, the authority said in a statement.
It is implementing the diversion to complete construction works of a flyover as part of road enhancement works on North Road project which require the width of the lane that will be closed to carry out works safely.
Ashghal urged all road users to abide by speed limits and traffic signs to ensure their safety. Ashghal will install signage in the area to notify motorists during the closure.
