Doha: A talk entitled “Ramadan Explained” by Shaykh Ismail Menk will be held at Katara Ampitheatre today.
Cultural Village Foundation, Katara said: “Our guest will take us on a journey to discover the secrets of the blessed month which Muslims celebrate every year and what it means to them.”
The event is free of charge and will be delivered in English. It will take place from 9:30pm to 11pm.
Fun and educational activities including kids' activities, Ramadan quiz and a cultural exhibition will also accompany the talk. On his Instagram post, Menk said: “Doha, Qatar! Finally! Please share this widely. All [are] welcome – free and no registration [required],” along with the date and venue of the talk.
Shaykh Ismail Menk is a leading global Islamic scholar born and raised in Zimbabwe. He studied Shariah in Madinah and holds a Doctorate of Social Guidance from Aldersgate University.
