Doha - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Sunday with President of the Syrian opposition Peace and Freedom Front HE Ahmad Al-Assi Al-Jarba, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, the latest developments in the Syrian crisis were reviewed.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's position that the solution to the Syrian crisis should be a political solution in accordance with the Geneva 1 statement and Security Council Resolution 2254, stressing the importance of reaching a comprehensive ceasefire that contributes to facilitating humanitarian access to Syria.
