The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), the body responsible for delivering the infrastructure required to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, shared latest pictures of the Education City Stadium, one of the eight stadiums that will host the World Cup finals.

In a tweet, the SC said: Take a look at the rapid progress being made at the site of Education City Stadium! The 40,000-seat host venue, nicknamed the ‘diamond in the desert’, is located at the heart of @QF and will host matches through to the quarter-finals stage of #Qatar2022.

The SC in July had similarly shared pictures of the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor City, another stadium.

In April, SC had completed the turf laying of Al Bayt Stadium in record time of just 6 hours 41 minutes.

Parks and greenery will also form an integral part of surrounding precincts of all stadiums.
