Doha: Lahore Badshah Club put in a compact team work to win the Qatar Airways Division C title of Qatar Cricket Association (QCA).
In the final at the West Bay Grounds, Lahore Badshah Club proved too strong for Doha Warrior Club in the Qatar Airways sponsored tournament.
Batting first, Lahore Badshah Club ran up a healthy 239 in all out in 38 overs.
Sufiyan, continuing his good form in the tournament, struck an attractive 56.
Butt also played well but missed his half-century merely by a run, while Awais complemented their efforts with 30.
Shoaib was the pick of the bowlers for Doha Warrior Club, snapping four wickets. Adnan and Gurjeet also picked two each. Najeeb and Akbar removed other two remaining batsmen.
Doha Warrior Club failed to get going against some fine bowling by Bakshi and Ibrahim. The loss of quick wickets eventually brought about a premature end to their chase as they collapsed at 202 in 33 overs only.
Akbar was their best scorer, getting 47. Saleem made 33 and Farhad hit 25. Baqshi grabbed four wickets and Ibrahim returned a two-wicket haul. Amaan Butt and Abdur Rahman dismissed one player each to ensure their facile triumph.
