Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun and Senator Richard Blumenthal of the US State of Connecticut discussed the latest developments in the Lebanese south, especially with regards to the Israeli occupation forces' withdrawal by February 18.
During the meeting, the Lebanese President stressed the importance of intensifying international efforts to pressure the Israeli occupation to carry out a complete withdrawal from Lebanese territories.
In turn, Senator Blumenthal stressed the United States' commitment to continue to support Lebanon's calls for an Israeli withdrawal, highlighting the importance of stability in the region.
