Qatar Museums' donation drive for Turkiye and Syria

Qatar Museums' ‘Be Their Hope’ campaign seeks urgently required supplies to help survivors of the recent devastating earthquakes in Turkiye and Syria. QM volunteers and partners are receiving donations at the staff parking areas of both the Museum of Islamic Art and the National Museum of Qatar. 

Boxes of donations should carry a detailed inventory of contents such as canned foodstuffs with an expiry date of at least 6 months (powdered milk and canned goods), (powdered milk and canned goods), clothes and blankets (only new items will be accepted), hygiene products (diapers in sizes suitable for children and elderly, sanitisers and surgical gloves), first aid supplies (antiseptic spray, bandages and dressings, safety pins, sterilising wipes, adhesive tape, foil blankets, etc.), and toys of any kind.

11th Halal Qatar Festival

The theme of the 11th Halal Qatar Festival which begins tomorrow "centers around a distinct feature of our heritage, one that is drawn from deep within the deserts of Qatar — sheep and goat breeding.”

The 9-day festival provides a platform for breeders to display and acquire the best types of livestock and the most beautiful sheep and goats, in addition to a variety of accompanying educational and entertainment activities. The highlights of the festival include Al Mazad or the public auction of Halal (sheep and goats) and the Al Mazain which is a competition for the most beautiful sheep and goats.

Arnis and Boxing Exhibition by Philippine Embassy Doha

Join the Philippine Embassy in celebrating both the Qatar National Sports Day and the culture of the Philippines through its 'Yantok at Kamao: Arnis and Boxing Exhibition. The free event invites the public to learn about the national martial art of the Philippines, arnis, and one of Filipinos' favorite sports, which is boxing. The event will also feature artworks of Doha-based Filipino artists, including Michael Conjusta, Arsenio Nidoy, Adrian Aleluya, and Dancel Albert.

The Journey: A Tale of the Arabian Horse Exhibition

In conjunction with the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) debuted British artist, painter, poet, and historian Peter Upton's art exhibit, 'The Journey: A Tale of the Arabian Horse'. Over 100 paintings by Upton are on display, highlighting the beauty and distinctiveness of Arabian horses and emphasizing their role as an inspiration and a symbol of equestrianism, beauty, and originality.

M7 Qatar Creates Hub-Ground Floor (Msheireb)

Part of M7's Milan Design Week in Doha,'Milano x Doha' pop-up exhibition is created by Qatari and Doha-based designers where you'll be able to see a collection of authentic sets of furniture in unusual shapes. The exhibition is hosted by FROMM—a platform that supports and empowers the local design community through mentorship and coaching in furniture and product design. Hana al-Saadi, a Qatari artist and former Fire Station resident, recently debuted her exhibition titled "Birthday Ceremony" at the Fire Station. The thought-provoking exhibition explores the themes of memory and traditions while focusing on al-Saadi's reflection on a home and her experiences during her childhood, adolescence, and throughout her development. 

Tree planting with DEAP Qatar
