Strong wind and high seas during weekend; QMD issues marine warning

Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) issued a marine warning from Friday, September 16, until Sunday, September 18. 

During this period, the country will experience strong wind and high sea. The wind will blow in the northwesterly direction at fresh to strong in speed. 

Sea waves will also range between 3-7 ft rising to 10ft at times. 

The Department urged citizens and residents to take precaution and to avoid all marine activities during this period.
