DOHA: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) in a twitter post has reminded that massage services remain suspended until further notice as part of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

“We would like to inform that the decision No. (4) of 2020 regarding suspension of massage activities in salons, massage parlors, Moroccan bath services and home services for these activities is effective until further notice,” the Ministry tweeted yesterday.

The Ministry called all people to abide by the decisions and circulars issued in this regards in order to avoid accountability and legal action.

Ministry had allowed barbershops and hair salons to start operating with limited capacity as part of phase 3 of gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in Qatar.
In phase 3 guidelines ministry had said indoor swimming pools, sauna and steam rooms, jacuzzis and massage services will remain closed.
