Chef Enrico Crippa (pictured) has had an illustrious international career that saw him create unforgettable culinary experiences that not only shed a light on the very heart and soul of Italian cuisine but also garnered him a reputation as the ‘multicoloured master of the vegetable’ earning him three Michelin stars at his iconic Piazza Duomo restaurant.

“We were honoured to have been approached by Raffles to bring Alba to Qatar. A country whose people are well versed on not only international cuisine, but also traditional Italian cuisine to be specific.” Crippa stated: “We were excited to leap at this opportunity, and we wanted to replicate the essence of our restaurant in Alba, not only in terms of the freshness of our ingredients, but also the variety and authenticity of our offerings.”

Alba by Enrico Crippa features luxurious dark green velvet sofas, red curtains, vertiginous ceilings, white marble arches and crisp white tablecloths.

The stunning setting is complemented further by the chef’s signature scenography, with greens and flowers from Alba’s greenhouse as the star ingredients, completed by meat carving and truffle shaving adding to the theatricality

of the dining experience.

“We want our guests to enjoy our unrivaled culinary experiences, and we wish to accommodate their tastes and expectations, by offering them the Italian dishes that they have been accustomed to, while also introducing them to alternative traditional dishes such as the saffron risotto with Veal Shank, so that they are capable of enjoying a well rounded traditional experience.”

Crippa explained “Our menu is strongly respectful of local traditions, while representing all the flavours of Italy in a modern journey of the senses.”
