Scattered rain in various parts of Qatar; to turn into thundery at times

Doha: It has been a cloudy on Saturday this weekend and as per Qatar Meteorology Department, the weather will continue to be like this as it observes growing cover of rain clouds over the country. 

Scattered rain will continue at various areas and offshore, and it may turn thundery especially in the Southern areas, stated the meteorology. 

In an earlier report, the department had predicted that the country will experience rain of varying intensity from Friday, January 13, 2023, until the middle of next week, with the wind changing from fresh Northwesterly to Southeasterly.

The Met Department added that the weather inshore on Saturday until 6:00 am on Sunday will be partly cloudy to cloudy with rain may be thundery at the southern areas, misty at places later, and cold by night, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy with rain maybe thundery at times.

Wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly to southwesterly 07 to 17 knot gusting 25 knot during thundery rain.

Offshore, it will be northeasterly to southeasterly 08 to 18 knot gusting 25 knot during thundery rain.

Visibility will be 04 to 08/03 kilometer or les at places at times.

Sea state inshore will be 1 - 3 feet rises to 5 feet during thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 2 - 5 feet rises to 8 feet during thunder rain, it noted.
