The Community College of Qatar (CCQ) and the Police Institute signed, today, a memo-randum of understanding (MoU), to promote academic and research cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The MoU stresses the importance of exchanging expertise between higher education institutions and its role in serving the community and the country.

The MoU was signed by CCQ President Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Naemi, and Director of the Police Institute Colonel Ali Saud Al Hanzab, in the presence of several senior officials from the two institutions.

The MoU aims to establish a strategic partnership and cooperation in various areas, including the exchange of expe-riences in the academic, research and student affairs fields, as well as training and community service

. It also enables the Police Institute’s students to join CCQ to further pursue their higher education, according to CCQ’s policies. The two parties will also work together on organising different student, cultural, sports and social programmes and activ-ities to cultivate students’ sense of social responsibility.

This is in addition to offering training workshops for faculty members, trainers and students on the education and training systems that can benefit both institutions.

Moreover, the MoU will help the signing parties to provide the labour market with more specialised cadres in different fields to contribute to achieving Qatar National Vision (QNV) and sustainable development.

Dr. Mohamed Al Naemi expressed his pleasure over the signing of the MoU with the Police Institute and said: “Today’s MoU emphasises our continuous commitment to academic excellence. We are confident that this partnership will strengthen our academic cooperation by exchanging our expertise and faculty members to improve the educational process, while promoting investment in the human capital to support the achievement of the human development pillar of QNV 2030.”
